Meet The Board: Becky Reinsmith
A board member since 2019, Becky Reinsmith is a lifelong North County resident who is committed to ensuring residents of the Robertson Fire Protection District have the best fire and emergency medical services possible.
“It is truly an honor to work with the men and women of our fire district, and witness firsthand the heroic efforts they undertake to keep our community safe. Every day they are doing lifesaving work,” says Reinsmith.
Reinsmith joined the board as an opportunity to give back to the community and to work with firefighters and paramedics to make sure they have the resources and training they need to focus on taking care of our residents and visitors to our community.
Reinsmith has lived in the Robertson Fire Protection District for nearly 20 years, and along with her husband is raising their two children in the community. Her family has a long history of union involvement: her father was a member of the Teamsters union, her mother was active with the Communications Workers of America (CWA) and her uncle was involved with the International Association of Firefighters (IAFF). This legacy is one of the reasons she was drawn to volunteer with the fire district. She is a graduate of St. Louis Community College with an Associate of Applied Science degree in dental hygiene.
The Robertson Fire Protection District is led by a three-person citizen-elected board of directors. Each member is elected to a six-year term, there is an election every two years. The Board is responsible for overseeing the finances, personnel and overall management of the fire district.
